Fluid-loss control
Specify the base fluid, solids, filtration test conditions and acceptance criteria. Evaluate the candidate grade at the intended treatment level.
PAC sourcing for drilling-fluid chemical distributors and water-based mud formulators. Define the fluid system, fluid-loss target and acceptable viscosity contribution before choosing a grade.
Polyanionic cellulose is a cellulose-derived polymer used in water-based drilling fluids, including applications where filtration control is required. Material performance depends on the grade and on the complete fluid system. Fresh-water results do not establish performance in a saline or otherwise different drilling-fluid formulation.
Specify the base fluid, solids, filtration test conditions and acceptance criteria. Evaluate the candidate grade at the intended treatment level.
Discuss whether a low- or high-viscosity grade is needed. These are selection directions, not a substitute for the supplier specification and your fluid-system tests.
Send your customers’ required grade designation, document requirements, pack size, destination and expected demand so that the supplying factory can assess the request.
| Selection factor | Information to provide |
|---|---|
| Fluid system and water chemistry | State fresh water, salinity, hardness, solids and other additives used in the formulation. |
| Filtration and rheology targets | Provide the required test procedure, fluid-loss criteria and the acceptable viscosity profile. |
| Temperature and conditioning | Describe aging, test temperature and conditioning protocol. Request supporting data relevant to those conditions. |
| Supply documentation | Ask for the current TDS, SDS and batch COA. Any claimed conformity must be supported by the specific grade documentation. |
Use your laboratory mud formulation to compare the candidate and reference materials at the same dosage. Follow the specified mixing, conditioning and aging procedure, then check filtration and rheology. Do not infer field performance or standards compliance from a generic product description.
Start with the required filtration performance and how much viscosity increase the fluid can tolerate. Provide the fluid formulation and test protocol so that the supplier can review a suitable grade.
No blanket conformity claim is made. If your project requires a particular standard, identify the standard and edition and request supporting grade-specific test documents before purchasing.
Send your company name, application, reference specification, quantity and destination country. Grade availability, documents, sample arrangements and shipment terms are confirmed for each inquiry.
