Product selection starts with the application
Hydroxyethyl cellulose is a nonionic cellulose ether used as a thickener and rheology modifier in water-based systems. Grade selection affects viscosity development, handling during mixing and the behavior of the finished formulation. A product name or a single viscosity number is not enough to establish equivalence.

Is HEC interchangeable with HPMC?
They are different cellulose ethers. Application performance depends on grade and formulation; evaluate a substitute in the intended system rather than selecting by abbreviation or viscosity alone.
What should a paint manufacturer send for a sample request?
